Project kick off

Our project started on 1 June 2016 and is due to finish on 31 May 2017.  The first month of the project focused on getting set up, convening our full Project Team and holding the first meeting of our Advisory Group.

Here’s the team who’ll be working on the project:

  • Alison Turner (Chief Investigator) : Head of Evidence Analysis, Strategy Unit
  • Dr Abeda Mulla (Co-applicant): Senior Consultant, Strategy Unit
  • Dr Andrew Booth (Co-applicant) : Reader in Information Practice and Director of Information, ScHARR, University of Sheffield
  • Shiona Aldridge: Evidence Analyst, Strategy Unit
  • Sharon Stevens: Evidence Analyst, Strategy Unit
  • Sharon Townsend: Project Officer, Strategy Unit
  • Peter Spilsbury: Director of the Strategy Unit
  • Fraser Battye: Principal Consultant, Strategy Unit
  • Louise Rowan: Communications Consultant

We’ll share more information on our Advisory Group in a future post.

During July, we’re analysing policy and strategy documents on the Multispecialty Community Provider (MCP) model of care to extract the underlying programme theories, in other words, what the new model of care aims to change and how it intends to enact that change.  This will help us to articulate the model and to prioritise which aspects of the model our analysis will focus on.
